IP5 PROJECTS FOR DAC

IP5 is the Rail Freight Innovation Programme within Shift2Rail. This programme is defined and framed in the Shift2Rail Multi-Annual Action Plan and is built around Technical Demonstrators (TDs). A TD in Shift2Rail is an “articulated concept”. Its main aim is to amalgamate the RIA (Research and Innovation Action) efforts with regards to one field of interest within the IP project portfolio. A TD is also made of different Building Blocks (BB) which are the lower granularity level.

FR8RAIL can be used as a good introduction to the DAC development concept. Certain deliverables in Work Package 5 gives an induction to the challenge:
